How to Manifest the Writing Career of Your Dreams

You’ve probably heard about manifesting by now, but if you don’t know what it is, manifesting simply means purposely creating what you want.

Whether you’ve heard about it or not, the truth is that you might not know how to apply it to your writing life.

As I see it, there are three main ingredients to manifesting anything, including your writing career.

INGREDIENTS:

1 Cup Belief

2 Tbs Vision

1 Pint Planning

Instructions:

Step 1: Belief:

I have a love relationship with this word. I think belief is at the core of anything we wish to accomplish, for if you don’t believe it can ever happen, then it will never happen. You must do everything in your power to have an unshakable belief in your goals. If your desire is to write a book, you must first believe that you can if you ever want it to materialize. You gain belief by creating a positive e mindset about yourself and your talent. Avoid negative self-talk and/or interactions with people that make you feel like you're not worthy or good enough. Surround yourself with people and actions that bring joy into your life. This will increase your positive vibrations, which will help you stay optimistic about your overall potential.

Step 2: Vision:

Next, you must have a vision. This is what manifesting is all about, having the courage to imagine something greater for your life. You can create a clear vision of your goals by creating vision boards, or through journaling. The goal here is to get crystal clear on what it is that you want to accomplish. You can amplify your vision by visualizing daily. Take at least 5 to 10 minutes a day to visual your goal completely. Use your senses to get in tune with how it will feel once you reach said goal. See it, smell it, taste it, touch it, hear it.  The more of your senses you can include while visualizing the more real it will feel. And that's the trick when it comes to visualizing: to feel as though it is happening right now, or has already happened. Remember, you cannot achieve that which you cannot see. Therefore, you must believe, see it in your mind’s eye, and then it will show up in your life like magic.

Step 3: Planning:

Once you believe that what you want is possible, and you have a clear vision, it’s time to get a plan together. For example, if your desire is to have a complete manuscript in your hands, then create a plan that includes when and how you’re going to finish. Create a realistic timeline and schedule that you can stick to. By creating a doable plan of action, you will without a doubt achieve your goal—writing or otherwise. Taking action is an important component of manifesting. Though it is true that things might start showing up in your life like magic, it's likely that on some level you took action to make it happen. Maybe an agent reaches out to you because they love your content, even if you didn't reach out to them first. However, this agent might have found you because you wrote the perfect blog. Or, your Instagram account is thriving, and your content is on fire. In both of these cases, there was action taken. Don't just sit back and wait for something to land on your lap, it won't happen without you putting in the work.

You might be thinking, it can’t be that simple, can it? Well, it is. The reason most of us don’t reach our goals is that at our core we’re lacking one, two, or all three of these ingredients. If you don’t believe in yourself or the possibility of your dream, it’s impossible for it to show up in your life. Equally, if you don’t know what you want, how do you ever intend on creating the career of your dreams? Furthermore, if you believe and you have a vision, but you don’t actively work for it, how is it ever going to take form?

If you want to start manifesting the career of your dreams, start here. Start with the belief in self and in your dreams. Have a hawk-like vision and create a plan of a champion and watch your life transform before your very eyes.
